Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Portable Oxygen Concentrators

1.  Why do I have to call in or request an email to get my price on select portable oxygen concentrators?

As an independent retailer, we set our own prices, but some manufacturers place restrictions on how those prices may be communicated to you.  Because our price is lower than the manufacturer’s “minimum advertised price policy,” the manufacturer does not allow us to show you our lowest price until you take further action, such as calling us or asking to have price emailed to you.  Taking these steps allows Portable Oxygen Solutions to show you our price consistent with our goal of always offering you the lowest possible prices on the widest selection of products.

This won’t require you to purchase the product.  We realize that this is an inconvenience and are regularly working to educate manufacturers on how their policies impact our customers.

2.  How can Portable Oxygen Solutions sell portable oxygen concentrators at such lower prices than other online respiratory equipment companies?       

We have chosen to not be a Medicare or private insurance supplier.  This allows us to set our own price. Equipment companies that bill Medicare have to abide by certain quidelines, including retail pricing on certain items. 

We include everything from the manufacturers' standard package in our price.  All our Portable Concentrator Packages include at least one or two batteries, AC chargers, DC chargers, carrying bags, carts (when applicable), and accessory bags.  The standard package items are listed on our product description pages.  **When shopping other companies, please be mindful of their pricing strategy with an asterisk beside their quoted price.  Then at the bottom of the page, in small, fine print, they state that their price "is for concentrator and AC adapter only".  These prices do not include the essential standard package items you have to have in order to use your unit as a portable concentrator, such as chargers, carrying cases, and batteries.  An "AC adapter only" price constitutes nothing more than a stationary concentrator.  

3.  Is Portable Oxygen Solutions an Authorized Dealer of the portable oxygen concentrators we carry?

Yes.  We are an Authorized dealer with all our manufacturers and offer full manufacturer warranty and repair services on all portable oxygen concentrators we carry.  

4.  Is Portable Oxygen Solutions Licensed and Insured?

We are licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy and are fully insured so you can be assured you are working with a trusted oxygen supplier.  Many people are enjoying the freedom and independence made possible with our line of respiratory therapy products. 6.  Do You Offer Financing on portable oxygen concentrators?

YES, we do!  You can pay with most major credit cards, wire transfer or Paypal.  Paypal offers a 6 month same as cash option called “Bill Me Later”. With approved credit and If you choose to do so, you can extend the “Bill Me Later” option past 6 months, and it will become a monthly payment.  

7.  Do I Contact Portable Oxygen Solutions If My Unit Is In Need Of Service Or Repair?

Yes.  Call us toll free at 1-800-958-0192.  We will work diligently to get your unit a RMA number and expedite returning it to the manufacturer for service.  We are open Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST.  You may also email us at help@portableoxygensolutions.com. We do our best to respond to all voice messages and emails within 24 hours. 

8.  Will Medicare Pay For A Portable Oxygen Concentrator?  

Medicare does have billable codes for portable oxygen concentrators. However, with recent reductions in how much Medicare will pay there continues to be less and less incentive for your local oxygen equipment company to provide you with a Portable Oxygen Concentrator. Most choose to provide you with the less expensive, old fashioned system consisting of a home oxygen concentrator and multiple oxygen tanks that have to be refilled and delivered routinely.

9.  Do I have to pay sales tax?

Customers residing in North Carolina or Arkansas are required to pay sales tax, all other state’s residents are exempt.

10. Can portable oxygen concentrators be used with CPAP or BiPAP devices?

Yes. Oxygen Concentrators that offer continuous flow can be used with sleep apnea devices.
 
11. What are my payment options?
